COOKE PARK PAVILION, PARKES

Cooke Park Pavilion was officially opened by the Hon. Michael McCormack MP on Monday 8th November 2021. The multi-purpose community building and performance stage is a key project delivered through the Parkes Vibrancy Strategy, which was adopted by Parkes Shire Council in 2016. The $4.2 million project was jointly funded by the Australian Government through the Building Better Regions Fund and Parkes Shire Council. The building and stage will be used for a wide range of functions, including Council and community group meetings, conferences, weddings and the famed annual Elvis Festival. King and Campbell provided principal urban design, architectural and landscape architectural services throughout the project, both as part of the Parkes Vibrancy Strategy and all stages of the Cooke Park Pavilion project.
